In recent years the prices of PVC conduits have risen significantly. Therefore it becomes crucial to incorporate cost-saving measures into your concealed wiring installations.
For the given purpose, using PVC Reducer is one of the best ways that can save you a lot of money if done right.
PVC Reducer is a conduit fitting used to connect PVC conduit pipes and various other conduit accessories of different diameters together. For example, a 25 to 20 mm reducer can be used to connect two different conduits with diameters of 25 mm and 20 mm.
At the junction point, bunches of wires often branch out in different directions to create various power outlets as needed. In such cases, we no longer need to use the same larger pipe to encase the branched wires, as smaller pipes can easily encase them.
Using a simple and inexpensive reducer can greatly help to lower the installation cost as a smaller conduit is logically cheaper than the larger conduit.

Total cost of 25 to 20 mm Pressfit PVC Reducer = 12 x 4.25 ₹ = 51 ₹

Conclusion
In the given case study, with an extra cost of 51₹ required for 25 to 20 mm Reducers results in savings of 1,237 ₹ (12592.5 ₹ – 11,355.5 ₹ = 1,237 ₹) which is 9.82% of the cost incurred when only 25mm Pressfit HMS PVC conduit pipe is used.
